Open House at Addieville’s New Fire Station Saturday

By Travis Volz

Residents will have a chance to take in the new Addieville Fire Station when the fire district hosts an open house this Saturday.

The Addieville Community Fire Protection District moved its operation into the new building earlier this summer, and now firefighters are ready to show off the new headquarters.

The open house is this Saturday, August 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Events will include free food and drinks, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and a visit from Arch Air Medical Helicopter and Washington County Ambulance Service.

The public can also view fire equipment with firefighter demonstrations. Free carbon monoxide detectors (one per household) will also be given out by the department.
