Frog Town Golf Tournament

Area golfers again descended on Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course for the 2021 Frogtown Invitational Golf Tournament August 3. A record field 35 golfers strong provided the drama for the 18th annual event.

As a testament to a year of hard work, Bruce Heckert turned his last-place 2020 finish into a record-setting 2021 finish to take home the first-place trophy and green jacket. His net score of 12 is now the lowest score ever recorded at the event.

Following in second place  with a net score of 16 was Darrel Frederking, and Greg Wilburn’s was third with 27.

The Silver Balls plaque, awarded for the highest age to score ratio, went to Gussie Mense.

Also earning a trophy for the longest putter shot was Gary Stricker.
