Laura J. Skorczewski
Laura J. Skorczewski, 67 of Nashville, passed away at 1:31 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born on April 13, 1954 in West Lafayette, IN, the daughter of Charles and Nita Davis Westerhouse. She married John Skorczewski on November 17, 1973 in Tamaroa.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Dr. John Skorczewski of Nashville; two sons, J.P. (April) Elder of Las Vegas, NV and Matthew (April) Skorczewski of Murphysboro; two sisters, Mary Lou Rush and Jaynie Keniston, both of Indiana; a grandson, Gabe Skorczewski; and two step grandchildren, Mishont Gibbs and Storm Grammer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Chuck Westerhouse; and a sister, Claudia Foley.
Laura was the office manager at her husband’s dental practice in Nashville. She was a member of the Nashville Christian Church and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Nashville Christian Church with Rev. Les Boldt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
