Loretta V. McMillian
Mrs. Loretta McMillian of Venedy, IL departed this life in the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 5:33 A.M. She had attained the age of 94 years, 1 month, and 26 days.
Loretta was born in French Village, IL on May 3, 1927 the daughter of Stanley and Rose (nee Wrzos) Klich. She was united in marriage to James A. McMillian in Belleville, IL on May 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1994.
Loretta was a homemaker and farm wife and did babysitting in her home. She also ran Cotton’s Tavern in Freeburg, IL from 1960 until 1976. She was a faithful member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville, IL.
Left to mourn her passing is her son, James E. McMillian and wife Terrie of Venedy; three grandchildren, Kimberly McMillian Mason of Bloomington, IL, James D. McMillian and Allen W. McMillian both of Venedy; two great grandchildren, Haley and Max Mason; four sisters, Frances “Suzie” Renth of Nashville, Mary Ann Klohr and husband Joe of Belleville, IL, Teresa Pendegraft of Lebanon, IL, and Patricia Deutsch of Shiloh, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Joseph, and Stephen Klich; and six sisters, Estelle Klich, Helen Ismail, Stella Madura, Jane Renth, Bernice Duecker, and Dorothy Renth.
Prayer services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville, IL on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in the St. Barbara Cemetery in Okawville.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Thursday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Friday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, Mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Catholic Urban Program or to Family Hospice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
