Stanley Schwartz
Mr. Stanley Schwartz of Pinckneyville, IL, departed this life at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 1:48 PM. He had attained the age of 67 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Mr. Schwartz was born on May 22, 1953 at West Dundee, IL, the son of Eugene and Martha (Lane) Schwartz. He was united in marriage to Clara Kozuszek on April 28, 1979 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todd’s Mill, IL and she survives his passing.
Stanley worked at National Mine Service in Nashville, IL for approximately 9 years, until factory closure. Stanley was owner of S&S Machine Shop at his residence in Pinckneyville. Stanley was President of Perry County (IL) Saddle Club; Leader of the Rice Roader 4-H Club; was on the Perry County Posse; Pinckneyville Thresherman’s; owner of Trying-it Workshop and forge. Stanley enjoyed to teach people about blacksmithing, woodworking, jewelry making and numerous hobbies.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 42 years, Clara Schwartz of Pinckneyville, IL; two daughters, Mary Reese and friend Dave Sanders of DuQuoin, IL and Susan Schwartz and fiancée Shannon Hankins of Broughton, IL; two granddaughters, Brittney and Abigail Reese of DuQuoin, IL; two brothers, Marien Schwartz and fiancée Ruthie Gray of Versailies, KY and Roman Schwartz of Beaucoup, IL; a nephew, Gregg Schwartz and wife Heather of Centralia, IL; a sister-in-law, Carla Christan of Centralia, IL;
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Martha Schwartz and father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Martha Kozuszek.
Per the wishes of Stanley and his family, cremation will be performed and there will be no public services.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
