Virginia Malick

Mrs. Virginia Malick of Ashley, IL, departed this life at the Mercy Hospice South-De Greef Hospice House in St. Louis, MO on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 4:22 PM.  She had attained the age of 94 years and 8 months.

Mrs. Malick was born on September 3, 1926 at Bolo Township, Washington County, IL the daughter of Tony and Sophie (Chwascinski) Krzyzanoski.  She was united in marriage to Leo Malick on October 6, 1945 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Radom, IL and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2012.

Virginia worked at Traveler’s Restaurant in DuBois, IL for many years.  She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL, where she was active with the St. Ann Quilting ladies.

Left to mourn her passing is her two daughters, Carol Craig and husband Mark of Florissant, MO and Connie Woodside of Beaucoup, IL; two grandchildren, Darrel Craig and wife Miah and Michelle Woodside; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Krzyzanoski

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Leo, Ted and Lambert Krzyzanoski and sister, Delores Dellamarc.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 10 AM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Thursday from 5 PM until 7 PM and on Friday from 8 AM until 9:30 AM.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Ann Catholic Church or St. Ann Catholic School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
