Rulevish Set to Play Two Sports in College

Even in normal years, after a long winter, baseball players like Nick Rulevish are eager to hit the diamond each spring. Following a year of COVID pandemic restrictions, that eagerness is even more acute.

Rulevish will have a chance to make up for lost time, as he readies for his senior season at Okawville before heading north to play baseball and run cross country at Eureka College.

“I missed out on my junior season last year, and that was when I felt like I would establish myself,” Rulevish said. “Now I’m excited to get back to playing the game I love.”

Sweetening the deal for Eureka College is the opportunity to land another harrier for the college’s cross country team, and Rulevish fits that bill.

Rulevish, who was one of the Rockets’ top runners last fall, says that the longer college distances will help keep him in shape for baseball.
