Mrs. Susan G. Batson of Nashville, IL, departed this life at Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 7:07 A.M. She had attained the age of 62 years, 5 months and 29 days.
Mrs. Batson was born on September 30, 1958 in Washington County, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Peggy (nee Spenner) Reinkensmeier. She was united in marriage to Douglas Batson on July 5, 1975 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2008.
Susan was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Left to mourn her passing is her two children, Angela Kiefer and husband Bobby and Chris Batson and wife Wendy all of Nashville, IL; grandchildren, Cody Kiefer and special friend Rebecca Tuttle, Rheanna and Autum Kiefer, Chasen Batson and Joey and Warren Reid; two sisters, Monica Irwin and husband Rob and Jane Law and special friend Jason Jablonski all of Nashville, IL; sister-in-law, Sheryl Powenski and husband David of Centralia, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Clarence F. Reinkensmeier
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11 A.M. with Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Nashville, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Thursday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
Due to Covid-19 health concerns, restrictions will be followed. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing measures will be implemented, with a limited number of visitors in the funeral home or church at any one time. Please be respectful of time so other visitors may pay their respects to the family.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the American Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
