Lavesta (Althoff) Sherman

Lavesta (Althoff) Sherman, 87, passed away March 16, 2021 at her home in Modesto, CA. She was born in Addieville, IL on March 4, 1934 to Arthur & Clara Althoff. She moved with family to CA as a young girl. Lavesta attended Modesto High School and after graduating married William Sherman.She was an employee of Modesto City School District for over 40 years. Lavesta and her husband loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, of 61 years, and also her daughter, Cynthia Hammons. She is survived by her children Kathleen Yarnal, Christine Ellis (Kevin), son in law Kenn Hammons, 7 grand children, and 6 great grand children.
Funeral services were held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, CA.
