Friendship Manor Continues To Refute “Immediate Jeopardy” Citation
Friendship Manor Health Care continues to dispute the “Immediate Jeopardy” citation issued by the Illinois Department of Public health following COVID deaths of residents in December.
The first appeal was denied, so Friendship Manor has appealed the citation to a third-party reviewer. The reviewer and date have not been scheduled.
There is more at stake than avoiding a possible fine.
Director Heather Stich wants families of residents and the community in general to know that Friendship Manor has and continues to make every effort to keep their loved ones safe and well cared for, and to strictly adhere to CDC and state guidelines.
She points out that the care facility kept COVID from entering for the first nine months of the Pandemic.
