Todd K. Twenhafel
Mr. Todd Twenhafel of New Minden, IL departed this life surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 6:05 PM. He had attained the age of 56 years, 9 months, and 3 days.
Todd was born in Nashville on June 8, 1964 the son of Kenneth and Geraldine (nee Stiegman) Twenhafel. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Knolhoff at the St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden on June 27, 1998 and she survives his passing.
Mr. Twenhafel worked as an engineer at Komatsu for several years. He was a faithful member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Minden. Todd enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing, and hunting, but he especially loved spending time with his family.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Cheryl Twenhafel of New Minden; two children, Kirsten Twenhafel and Trent Twenhafel both of New Minden; his mother, Geraldine Twenhafel of New Minden; a sister, Debra Twenhafel of Burlington, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Jo Ann Knolhoff of Shattuc, IL; a brother-in-law, David Knolhoff and wife Amy of LaFayette, IN; three nephews and a niece; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother in infancy.
Private funeral services will be held at the St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 with Pastor Timothy Mueller officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Due to Covid-19 health concerns, restrictions will be followed. Face coverings will be required, and social distancing measures will be implemented, with a limited number of visitors in the church at any one time. Please be respectful of time so other visitors may pay their respects to the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund that will be established to benefit his children Kirsten and Trent, or to the St. John’s Historical Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
