Lane Closures on I-64 Starting This Monday

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that Interstate 64 from east of Okawville to the Jefferson County Line will have intermediate lane restrictions in each direction beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 8, weather permitting.

Lane closures can be expected between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. daily. One lane traffic in each direction will remain open. This work is necessary to complete pavement repairs, and work is anticipated to be completed by July.

Drivers are urged to pay close attention to signs in the work zones and obey speed limits.
