Doris J. Schleifer

Mrs. Doris J. Schleifer of Nashville, IL departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, February 23, 2021 at 8:39 P.M. She had attained the age of 84 years, 8 months and 6 days.

Mrs. Schleifer was born on June 17, 1936 at Okawville, IL the daughter of Fred and Clara (Lohmeyer) Kruse. She was united in marriage to Charles Schleifer on November 19, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville, IL and he survives her passing.

Doris owned and operated a daycare in her home for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL. Doris enjoyed flowers, meeting with the Ladies Women’s Club once a month and spending time with her family and friends.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Charles Schleifer of Nashville, IL; three children, Jeff Schleifer and wife Jane of Maryville, IL, Jill Maschhoff and husband Keith of Smithton, IL and Jason Schleifer and wife Tricia of Okawville, IL; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Sara Schleifer, Justin (Barrie) Maschhoff, Joshua (Kristen) Maschhoff, Devin (Kayla) Maschhoff and Megan and Grant Schleifer; six great grandchildren, Josie, Kinsey, Weston, Paisley, Morrison and McKinley; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters, Mildred Suedmeyer, Elsie Kruse, Gladys Lange, Esther Lange and Laverne Kolweier.

Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11 AM with Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Nashville, IL.

Friends may call at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville on Monday from 9 AM until the service hour.

Should friends desire memorials can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
