Village Moves to Expand TIF District
The Okawville Village Board approved an ordinance to annex two parcels and moved forward on expanding the TIF District during the regular meeting Monday night.
A month after voting to annex into the village the parcels of land owned by Charlie Meier, the board approved an Ordinance that completed the annexation process.
In addition to that annexation to the village, the board took steps toward incorporating those parcels, as well as several others, into the TIF District.
Adding parcels to the TIF District is a multi-step process. The board adopted Feasibility Resolution 21-02-01, moved to place a feasibility study on file for ten days, and approved the TIF plan that will be sent to affected taxing districts.
