After a weeklong pause in the season due to the snow, the Lady Rockets got back into action on Saturday against Breese Central and fell 62-46.

The Lady Rockets got off to an admirable start, trailing the Cougars by just five points at the half, but turnovers plagued the young team in the third quarter and Central widened the lead to nine by the end of three quarters.

Okawville was forced to foul late in the contest, and Central closed the door on a Lady Rocket comeback by going 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to win.

Okawville 43, Columbia 40

On Monday evening, the Lady Rockets traveled to Columbia and won a thriller 43-40.

Coming down to the fourth quarter, which had numerous lead changes, ultimately the Lady Rockets would come out on top with a big three point shot from the top of the key by Rhodes that was the difference in the Lady Rockets’ win.
