Lady Rockets Split First Two Games

The Okawville Lady Rockets team and staff were excited to start a new season after much delay and anticipation.
In the opener, the Lady Rockets first traveled to Civic Memorial High school to face a CM Eagles team was much taller and more physical than the Okawville team. The Lady Rockets held their own but finished on the wrong end of a 56-49 score.
In the junior varsity contest against Civic Memorial, Okawville lost 37-41.
Okawville also played a freshmen contest against Civic Memorial.
On Saturday, the Lady Rockets traveled to Carlyle, where they bounced out to a 19-8 first quarter lead and never looked back on the way to the 64-38 win.
