COVID Metrics Continue Positive Trends Last Week

The number of positive COVID tests in Washington County ticked up a bit over the last week, but statewide numbers improved to the point that mitigation restrictions have been loosened.

Last week, Washington County saw a total of 30 new positive tests, up a bit from the previous week’s total of 26. That total is still the fewest number of positive tests since the fall.

The Washington County Health Department is currently tracking 24 active cases, none of which have symptoms severe enough for new hospitalization. No new deaths were reported last week.

Since the start of the pandemic, Washington County has had a total of 1,560 positive tests, of which 62 have had symptoms severe enough to require hospitalization. Twenty-five people from the county have died from COVID-related causes.
