Kraus Plans to Turn Recreation into Vocation

Golf is more than a sport to Okawville’s Chloe Kraus. It’s a mental game as well as a physical one, and the senior at Okawville High School wants to make a career of it.

Kraus will play golf at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina in the next school year, with a goal of turning her favorite sport into a vocation.

“I’m going to major in marketing, and with that degree I can run tournaments, manage a clubhouse, or do something else related to golf,” she said.

Though she says she played sparingly prior to high school, it was not long into her freshman year that she discovered a passion for the game.
