The Washington County Board discussed tentative plans to buy real estate at its meeting last Tuesday. Details, however, were not released following the discussion in closed session. No information was released what it would be used for, where the land is located, or what the estimated cost will be. Board Chairman Dave Meyer said that he could not elaborate about the possible land purchase.
The board voted to authorize the Finance and Property Committee with the option to pursue the purchase of real estate.
The vote was 13 yes and 2 no. Board members Brian Klingenberg and Dennis Shemonic cast the dissenting votes.
