Boosting Christmas Spirit

A Christmas tree at an undisclosed outdoor public location  in Okawville is waiting for community people  to add their own decorations. The large evergreen in the front yard of private property is designated with a red sign that says “Add some magic to the Community Christmas Tree”.

Hillary (Schuette) Kurtz started what could become a new Okawville Christmas tradition. Kurtz had seen the idea in Germantown. where she teaches school. “I thought the idea was so cute and it would be a good way to get the community involved, so I decided to do it in Okawville,” she said.

Kurtz and her husband, Kody and young son Walker added decorations to the tree, and posted their photo on Facebook.
