Treasurer’s Office Makes Second Tax Distribution
Washington County Treasurer Natalie Lynch announced that her office made a second partial real estate tax distribution to the taxing districts on Tuesday, November 10.
The amount distributed came to $14,055,341.32, which is approximately 55 percent of the total extended amount of $25,474,079.58. The second installment of taxes is due Friday, November 20.
A previous distribution of $3,585,337.70 was made on October 13. The first partial distribution was approximately 14 percent of the total amount to be distributed. To date, $17,640,679.02 (69 percent) has been distributed to taxing districts.
Tax payments can be made in person at the Washington County Treasurer’s Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lynch said residents can also take advantage of the added contactless convenience of a drop box located near the south entrance of the courthouse.
Payments can also be mailed to the Treasurer’s Office at 101 East St. Louis Street in Nashville. Checks should be payable to the Washington County Treasurer.
Residents requesting a stamped receipt should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with their payments.
