Lucky Duck Drawings Held For Okawville School Staff

Jars of little rubber duckies hold the names of Okawville school staff that might be the lucky winners of the twice a week drawings.

Prizes have included homemade treats of pies, cupcakes, lottery tickets, cookies, cinnamon rolls, decorated pumpkins,   and chill pills (M & M’s).

Junior/Senior High secretary Kim Hood coordinates the drawing of items donated by a person who did not want to be named.

She said the drawings are held to show appreciation to staff and build morale. “This gives the staff something to look forward to, and the students like hearing the winners names announced,” Hood said.

In each drawing a name from the Junior/Senior High staff and a name from the Grade School staff is pulled.
