Junior Lady Rockets Come Up Short Against Nashville

The Okawville Junior High Lady Rockets’ softball team’s season came to an end last week against Nashville last week.

Okawville fell behind early and was unable to rally in a 5-1 loss to Nashville on Wednesday in the first round of the SIJHAA State Finals.

Nashville scored three times in the first inning, taking advantage of an error and a single.

Kaylyn Cragen pitched well for the Lady Rockets, going seven innings, while allowing eight hits and five runs and striking out four.

Sarah Cook went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lady Rockets’ offense.
