Cross Country in Action in Chester

Okawville’s cross country teams had a strong showing at the Chester Invitational Thursday at Randolph County Lake.

The weather was perfect for running, and the Lady Rockets took advantage by finishing first overall as a team with four runners in the top ten.

Leading the way for Okawville’s harriers was Cindy Snyder, who placed fourth as an individual with at time of 22:36.

In the boys’ race, Okawville finished third as a team with top ten finishes by Grant Schleifer (5th – 18:42) and Nick Rulevish (9th – 19:30).
