Rocket, Lady Rocket Golfers Wrapping Up Season; Prepare for Postseason

With the regular golf season winding down, the Okawville Rockets are trying to round into postseason form.

The Rockets competed at home twice last week, finishing second in a three-team event Wednesday and losing by ten strokes to Central Thursday.

Mater Dei and Greenville came to Okawville Wednesday, and the Knights won the event by 25 strokes over a Rockets team that put together a score of 178. Greenville shot 210 to finish third.

Lady Rockets

After two matches last week, the Okawville Lady Rocket golfers have just two more events scheduled before postseason starts next week.

Last week, Okawville was on the road for matches at Centralia Tuesday and Red Bud Thursday.

The Lady Rockets shot 185 at Greenview Country Club Tuesday, 27 strokes off the pace set by Mt. Carmel and 20 strokes better than host Centralia.
