Okawville Harriers Run at Wesclin
Okawville cross country teams were in action at Wesclin in the first meet of the season where the whole team could run.
Both teams finished fifth out of the six teams in their respective races, with Cindy Snyder notching Okawville’s only top-ten finish in the girls’ race.
Snyder’s time of 23:09 was good for ninth overall in the race. The Lady Rockets’ other best finishers were Chloe Tepe (18th-24:02), Lydia Luechtefeld (19th-24:02), Adysen Harre (23rd-25:02), Megan Rennegarbe (28th-27:49), Amy Koch (31st-28:22) and Raelynn Obermeier (35th-31:23).
In the boys’ race, Grant Schleifer posted the best time for Okawville at 18:27, good for 11th overall. Nick Rulevish finished 20th with a time of 19:37 for the Rockets’ sub-20 minute races.
Also on the track were Caleb Unverfehrt (24th-21:08), Dominic Perry (25th-21:23), Hayden Shubert (26th-21:25), Daniel Jansen (27th-21:51), Evan Miller (32nd-29:09) and Joseph Jansen (36th-24:24).
Junior varsity runners also competed: Matt Roesener (23:59), Nathan Lintker (24:26), Hayden Hagarty (27:35), Jared Juenger (29:16), Nora Wood (33:02), Hannah Miller (34:01), Mallory Bening (35:19), Anni Culli (35:27), and Tricia Rennegarbe (36:47).
