Bat Allegedly Used In Fight

A baseball bat was alledgedly used in a fight between two Nashville men recently, according to the Nashville City Police report.

Donovan Cepeda alledgedly struck Justin Alsbury in the chest with the bat in their altercation at the Nashville Memorial Park.

Cepeda, 21, formerly of Okawville, was charged with aggravated battery, great bodily harm, a Class 3 Felony.

Alsbury, 34, was charged with aggravated assault/use of a deadly weapon (a knife), a class A misdemeanor.    

The Nashville Police report did not indicate that either required medical treatment.

Cepeda and Alsbury were acquaintances, as Cepeda’s sister and Alsbury formerly lived together and have children.

Both posted bond and were released.

Cepeda could be sentenced to 2 to 5 years in prison. Alsbury could be sentenced up to 1 year in jail.
