OJHS Softball Wins Big Over Freeburg

Okawville Junior High Junior Lady Rockets had everything working on Monday, winning big over Freeburg 10-1.

Okawville pushed across a run in the first inning with a sacrifice bunt by Laura Cook that drove in one run.

The Junior Lady Rockets tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Kaylyn Cragen, Lily Helbig, and Abby Brennfleck, all drove in runs in the big inning.

Cragen was the winning pitcher for Okawville. She surrendered one run on three hits over six innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

Cook threw one inning in relief, recording the last three outs to earn the save for Okawville.

Camryn Wiedwilt, Hailey Kolweier, and Sarah Cook each had a hit to lead the Lady Rockets.
