Teachers To Give Input On Support Needed
West Washington County Unit District teachers will meet in small groups with the administration this week to discuss the support they need to educate students amid the corona virus pandemic.
“They all want to return to the classroom. That is a given,” said JH/SH Principal Keith Senior. “We just want to know what we need to do for the best interests of the students.”
The state’s current plan to return to the classroom could change later this month, Senior said. The decision whether school resumes in person, remotely through e-learning, or a hybrid of split schedules of students attending two days a week, will be made by the Illinois Board of Education and Illinois Health Department.
