Electronics Recycling Event in Okawville Saturday
The Washington County Health Department (WCHD) and the Washington County Board Solid Waste Committee announced a second Electronic Recycling Event for the year.
This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at the Okawville High School parking lot on the south end of the building. It will run from 8 a.m. and run to noon.
The following electronics devices will be accepted for recycling:
* Cable Receivers
* Computers (desktop, laptop, netbook, notebook, tablet)
* Digital Converter Boxes
* Digital Video Disc Players
* Digital Video Disc Recorders
* Electronic Keyboards
* Electronic Mice
* Facsimile Machines
* Flat screen and CRT Monitors
* Portable Digital Music Players
* Printers
* Satellite Receivers
* Scanners
* Small Scale Servers
* Flat screen and CRT Televisions
* Videocassette Recorders
* Video Game Consoles
* Computer Cable
* Zip Drive
Organizers request that all devices be clean and intact. There is no charge for dropping off electronics, but no partially disassembled, smashed or broken items can be accepted.
Microwave ovens will also be accepted at this event.
This event was originally planned for early May but has been postponed due to pandemic concerns.
Volunteers from the Okawville Lions Club will assist in the collection.
