Mabel Alice (Buescher) Niemann

Mabel Alice (Buescher) Niemann, was born  to Fred Buescher & Della Mae Mode Buescher  on December 29, 1924 in Okawville, IL and passed away on June 13, 1924 at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Mabel Married Elmer William Niemann at St. Peter’s Evangelical & Reform Church, Okawville, IL on February  19, 1949, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1993.

Mabel graduated from Okawville High School in 1942 and was a School Secretary at Blow Middle School in St. Louis, MO from 1966 to 1991.

Along with her husband, Mabel was also preceded in death by her siblings: Ethel Mae Buescher (married George V Horne), Isabel Elizabeth Buescher (married Kenneth A. Cole), Oliver Frederick “Bud” Buescher (married Carmen Stocks), Della Sophia Buescher (married Wilbert L. “Squib” Finke), Minta Anna Buescher (married Vernon A. Ellerbusch),  and Shirley Jean Buescher (married Melvin V. Austin).

Surviving are: Darlene Ann and Skip Gatermann of St. Louis, MO; Thomas and Ranee Gatermann, Alexandria E. and Luke W., of Hendersonville, TN; Christine L. Gatermann of St. Louis, MO; David William and Karen Niemann, of St. Louis, MO; Jennifer L. Niemann of Oakland, MO; Christopher R. and Stephanie Niemann, James W. and Jason A., of Hillsboro, MO; Jeffrey Niemann, of St. Louis, MO and Peyton E. and Kaylyn C. Niemann of Cape Girardeau, MO.

Mabel was active in various educational organizations in St. Louis.  She loved to travel.  She was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Church in St. Louis.
