Okawville High seniors will have an virtual graduation Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m. Seniors were video taped at separate times walking across a stage set up in front of school May 9th. The tapes will be spliced together for the virtual graduation, which will be shown on the Rockets Facebook page.
Honors and scholarships will also be announced on the virtual graduation Sunday. The donors will make virtual presentations.
Drive Through Town
Seniors will be honored as parents drive them through town on Sunday at 5 p.m. They will be escorted by the Okawville Fire Truck at the front, and the Addieville Fire Department in the rear.
Supporters are invited to stand along the route to cheer the seniors.
Seniors and their parents will meet at 4:45 p.m. on Executive Drive (southeast of the school). They will drive north on Hanover St., turn right o Fifth St., right on Washington St. into the Meadowlands Subdivision, left on Evergreen St. to Oak Lane in the S & S Estates Subdivision, Lincoln to Fifth St. right on Hanover, Route on 177, left on Tower St (near the east entrance of town), left on Stark, right on Staude, left at Spring Valley drive, left at Water Works, right on Route 177, right on Walnut, left on Sparta, right on Walnut Hill Rd, left on Elm, right on Henrietta, left on Illinois to drive passed the former Grade School building, right on Front St. left on Schumaker to drive passed Immanuel Lutheran Grade School, left on Hanover St. to end at the Community Club Park.
Each family/vehicle is responsible for maintaining proper social distance.
