Students Will Not Return to Class This Spring

Even though schools will be shut down for the remainder of the academic year, the work for educators at Okawville schools will continue.
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced Friday that students would not return to classes this year, a decision that creates as many questions as it answers for local teachers and administrators.
“One of the most difficult things people are facing is dealing with the unknown, and everything we’re dealing with right now is unprecedented,” said Okawville Superintendent Scott Fuhrhop. “We’d all like to get back to normal.”
Things will not be back to normal, at least not this academic year. But that does not mean summer vacation starts early.
