A Coulterville man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Randolph County Monday morning.
James A. Douglas II, 35, was killed when his 2003 Dodge Caravan struck a ditch on South Prairie Road just South of Ohlwine Road in Randolph County at 7:58 a.m.
According to the report from the Illinois State Police, Douglas was traveling southbound on South Prairie Road when it left the roadway to the right and traveled behind the guardrail. The vehicle struck the ditch embankment with the front end.
Douglas, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased by the Randolph County Coroner.
