School Board Takes First Look at Next School Year

Preliminary dates for the 2020-21 school year were discussed during Thursday’s meeting of the West Washington County Unit District School Board meeting Thursday night.

Superintendent Scott Fuhrhop had a first reading of the proposed school calendar for next year, and board members discussed waiving Casimir Pulaski Day.

The start of the next school year was preliminarily set for Wednesday, August 12 as a teacher institute day, with the first student day on Thursday, August 13. The first two student days would have 1:30 p.m. dismissal times, with the first full day set for Monday, August 17.
