Junior Lady Rockets Win Three, Improve to 16-0

The Okawville Junior Lady Rockets remained unbeaten after picking up three more wins last week.

Okawville 36, ASA 23

Okawville used a big second quarter to build a lead in the Junior Lady Rockets’ 36-23 over All Saints last Tuesday.

Leading by four points after the first quarter, Okawville outscored ASA 12-4 before halftime and salted away the win in the second half.

Dylan Benson and Alayna Kraus scored ten points apiece for Okawville. Madisyn Wienstroer had six points, Addison Wiechert and Kylie Going both tallied four points, and Adysen Harre chipped in two points.

Okawville 36, Bartelso 25

The Junior Lady Rockets ran away early in the second half in their 36-25 win in a makeup game against Bartelso last Wednesday.

Okawville came out of the halftime break firing on all cylinders, putting together a 17-5 run in the third quarter that made it a more lopsided affair.

Kraus scored 13 and Wienstroer added a dozen to pace the Junior Lady Rockets. Benson scored five and Going had four more.

Okawville 46, Aviston 36

The first quarter proved to be decisive in Okawville’s 46-36 win over Aviston last Thursday.

After building a 17-6 lead in the first quarter, the Junior Lady Rockets were able to hold Aviston at bay the rest of the way to notch their 16th win of the season.

Wienstroer and Kraus had big games, finishing with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Benson just missed double figures with eight points, Harre had five and Going chipped in two points.

Okawville is competing in the Clinton County Conference Tournament at Mater Dei in Breese this week.
