Lady Rockets’ Season Ends; But Finish Strong in Several State Categories

Season Ends

The Okawville Lady Rockets volleyball team ended their season with a loss to New Athens in the regional championship match 25-22, 25-19.

Statistical Leaders

OHS led all 1A volleyball teams in the state with 408 blocks this season. Junior Isabella Auer led all 1A players with 166 blocks. Sophomore Sydney Tebbe was fourth with 107 blocks, and senior Anna Schmersahl was tenth with 95 blocks.

Including every high school team in the state, regardless of class, the rankings are still impressive. OHS as a team ranked 2nd, Auer ranked 6th, Tebbe ranked 19th, and Schmersahl ranked 32nd.
