County Board Plans Emergency HVAC Replacement In Jail

Although renovation of the County Jail is being planned, the Board had to step up part of the project because the HVAC malfunctioned in a section.

Due to the emergency, the board approved hiring J & R to replace the air-conditioner, without going through the bid process. The cost is not to exceed $75,000. The affected area of the administration area, restrooms, storage, and break room is about one-third of the jail.

At the beginning of the County Board meeting September 10, a moment of silence was held in honor of Michael Todd, an Ambulance Department employee and son of board member Paul Todd, and Rosemary Guinzy, mother of board member Kate Muenter.
