OJHS Softball Wins Three Straight, Strike Out Cancer Scheduled

The Okawville Junior Lady Rockets used a late rally to beat Carlyle 5-1 last Wednesday.

Neither team scored until the fifth inning when Madisyn Wienstroer broke open the game with a hard ground ball that turned into a three-run homer.

Adysen Harre, Hailey Kolweier, Alayna Kraus, and Addison Wiechert each had a hit for the Junior Lady Rockets.

Kaylyn Cragen and Taylor Hettenhausen kept Carlyle’s offense in check with strong work in the pitcher’s circle.

Strike Out Cancer Game Monday in Nashville

Okawville will travel to Nashville Monday for the Strike Out Cancer game. T-shirt sales and player fundraising for the game benefitted Gina Hug, who is undergoing breast cancer treatments.
