Enrollment Dips To Near Record Low

Enrollment in the West Washington County district dropped to 525 at the beginning of the school year, which was the lowest in the most recent four years. It is down 19  from 544 at the beginning of the prior school year.

Superintendent Scott Fuhrhop said that while there is not the growth the administration would like to see,  the down-turn is not alarming.

“We had 529 students at the end of the last school year, so we are only down 4 from that. We graduated 46 seniors, and this year we have a small class of only 34 seniors. Our trend will be OK,” he said.
