“I have the rusty things outside, so when they walk in the building they often say “I am surprised so you have so many pretty things,” said Shakes and Ladders owner Peggy Smith.
The Richview woman has filled the shop with primitives, decorative items, wreaths/floral, signs, crafts, furniture and antiques. Dishes include Fiesta and Jadite, which are popular with collectors. Thirty consignors supply Shakes and Ladders, changing the inventory weekly.
When people walk into Shakes and Ladders they are usually amazed at the amount of inventory. They don’t expect it in a town the size of Richview, population 250.
