Rossel Honored for Service at Cardinal Glennon
Decades of service to babies and mothers was recognized when Cristie Rossel was awarded the Heritage Lifetime Achievement Award by SSM Health last month.
Rossel has worked at Cardinal Glennon for 44 years, advancing from staff nurse to Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Working at the NICU was not her first choice, but it turned out to be the right choice for Rossel.
“When I started, I told them I wanted to work with babies, but I was thinking big fat babies,” she said.
Due to a shortage in the NICU, that is where Rossel went to work. She said it proved to be exactly what she wanted to do.
