County Sees Population Decline
Washington County is one of the vast majority of Illinois counties that had a population decline since 2010, according to Suburban Stats.
The company reports that 93 out of 102 counties lost population during that period.
Suburban State shows that the counties population declined from 14,716 in 2010 to 14,470 in 2019. In 2000 the county population was 15,148.
Okawville’s population dropped from 1,434 in 2010 to 1,376, a 1.36 percent decline, according to Urban Stats.
Nashville’s population dropped from 3,258 to 3,079 according to the agency.
