Okawville Man Graduates from Drug Program
When given an opportunity for a second chance, Darren Eggemann of Okawville made the most of it.
Eggemann was the first graduate from Washington County of the Washington/Perry County Pathway to Recovery Program. He was honored at a ceremony last Thursday at the Washington County Judicial Center.
The program was instituted to give non-violent drug offenders a chance to have their cases dismissed by adhering to a strict program, which included regular drug testing, community service and addiction counseling.
Judge Dan Emge, who supervises the program, cited Eggemann’s “flawless” record for more than a year during the graduation ceremony.
