Village To Buy In-Vehicle Video System For Police Cars

The Okawville Village Board approved the purchased of in-car video systems for the three police cars at its meeting Monday. The purchase from Watchguard that cost $16,035 will replace 11 year old video systems.

In other Police Department business, committee chairman Sarah Deterding reported that the department is working to get rid of impounded vehicles, dealing with complaints about “fast drivers” in several areas, and village ordinance violations and citations.

The Board also covered topics including: TIF, mosquito control, off-cycle raises, vacant mobile home removal updates, and a host of other topics fully covered in this week’s issue.
