Stanley J. Kostecki

Mr. Stanley “Stan” J. Kostecki of DuBois, IL, departed this life at the Evelyn’s House in St. Louis, MO on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:54 PM. He had attained the age of 63 years, three months and 23 days.

Stanley was born on February 16, 1956 at St. Louis, MO the son of Thomas and Evelyn (Heck) Kostecki. He was united in marriage to Rosalie Reidelberger on November 25, 1976 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois, IL and she survives his passing.

Stan worked at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon for many years until his retirement on June 1, 2019. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois, IL. Stan loved cooking, especially for his family and his co-workers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, the St. Louis Cardinals, attending his granddaughters sporting events and he loved his pets dearly.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Rosalie Kostecki of DuBois, IL; two children Kyle Kostecki of DuBois and Erin Gale and her husband Tom of Nashville, IL; three granddaughters, Addisyn, Austynn and Andersynn Gale; five brothers and sisters, Wayne Kostecki and wife Shannon of DuBois, James Kostecki and wife Debbie, Thomas Kostecki of DuBois, Mary Klaybor and husband Kenneth of DuBois and Jeffrey Kostecki and wife Chris of Troy, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, James and Loretta Reidelberger; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dianne Swartz; aunt and uncle, Ralph and Esther Andrews; two nephews, Matthew Klaybor and Ryan Epplin and his godparents, Hilda Wojtowicz and Richard Bochantin, Sr.

Per the wishes of Stan and his family, cremation was performed. There will be a memorial mass held at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12:00 PM with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.

Friends may call at the St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 8 AM until the service hour.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Charles Cemetery, Ashley Fire Department or Nashville Fire Department and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
