Rockets Split Two Games; Lady Rockets Search for 2nd Win
After earning a split in games agaist Woodlawn and Steeleville last week, the Okawville Rockets’ record stands at 9-10.
Okawville 9, Woodlawn 4
The Rockets returned to action with a 9-4 win at Woodlawn last Tuesday.
Okawville scored three runs in the top of the first and never trailed in the Rockets’ ninth win of the season.
Jackson Heckert led the way at the plate, rapping out two hits and driving in two runs. Ethan Kolweier also had a hit, and Daniel Savard drove in a pair of runs for the Rockets.
Steeleville 9, Okawville 1
Okawville fell 9-1 to Steeleville Friday.
Will Aubel had two hits and drove in the Rockets’ lone run in the game. He also struck out six hitters in two innings of relief of Carter Killion, who started the game and went four innings for Okawville.
The Rockets traveled to Breese to face Mater Dei Tuesday before going to Nashville Wednesday to face the Hornets. Okawville will host Wesclin Saturday and wrap up the home schedule against Greenville Tuesday for Senior Night.

Lady Rockets
The Okawville Lady Rockets softball team is still in search of their second win of the season after dropping three games last week.
Woodlawn 11, Okawville 0
Okawville was on the losing end of an 11-0 shutout at Woodlawn last Tuesday.
The Lady Rockets mustered just three hits in the loss. Kathryn Lohman doubled and Bryleigh Prest and Megan Schleifer each had singles to account for the offense.
Steeleville 8, Okawville 6
The Lady Rockets made a late charge but came up just short at Steeleville in their 8-6 loss Friday.
Trailing by three runs late, Okawville rallied for three runs in the top of the sixth to knot the score at 6-6, but Steeleville answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on for the win.
