Local Pastor Makes Trip to Dominican

Pastor Eric Wood’s trip to the Dominican Republic was mainly about business. But that is not to say he did not get to see some sights as well.

Pastor Wood of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville recently returned from a short trip to Santiago de los Cabelleros in the Dominican Republic, where he spent much of his time attending a FORO (which is Spanish for forum), a semi-annual gathering that brings together those who work on the mission field with some of those back in the USA who support their work.

“I was there for five nights, but I didn’t even get to see the ocean, except from the plane,” said Wood.
