Following a presentation on solar energy earlier this winter, the West Washington County School Board heard another proposal from EFS Energy about the potential investment in solar power on the school campus.
Previously, a representative from Siemens Energy gave a presentation about a potential price-purchasing agreement with the school. EFS discussed the purchase of a solar array by the district.
“We are just trying be educated on what is happening with solar energy,” Okawville school superintendent Scott Fuhrhop said. “That’s why we wanted to have another presentation, so we could find out the different options and whether it would or would not make sense to do something like this.”
The Board also discussed topics such as renewing Principal Spinka’s contract, the use of naloxone in schools for overdose cases, and more. Read the full details of the meeting in the March 6 issue.
