The oldest member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in DuBois will be the Grand Marshall of the Polishfest Parade in DuBois this Sunday.
Eleanor Bronke, 97, one of three living charter members of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Daughters Organization, was chosen as the Grand Marshall of the 25th Annual Polishfest held the Sunday prior to Casimir Pulaski Day. She currently resides in Friendship Manor in Nashville.
The Catholic Daughters of St. Charles Borromeo is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
While Bronke is the most senior member of the congregation, Aiden Porter, the son of Rebecca and Neal Porter (five months old) of downtown DuBois is the youngest boy. Aubrey Wojtowicz, the daughter of John Wojtowicz and Kelsey Hill, is the youngest girl in the parish.
The parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. this Sunday in DuBois.
